The Building  >>> Our church has a long history beginning in 1938. AG Carroll organized the first church along with 38 charter members. The original building was built during 1938-1940 with the building being dedicated in August 1940 by the Reverend Earl Paulk. This church as well as the original parsonage sufficed until 1970 when a new sanctuary was built under the pastorate of Reverend Haskell Eavenson. We continue to use this sanctuary which has been remodeled and updated in the past decade or so. Growth has been evident in our past and we look forward to the direction God is taking us as we continue to seek His will and serve His purpose.

The People >>> God has sent many to our church to minister and to help it grow and prosper. From Bro AG Carroll who was obedient to start it all to Bro Mike DiPietro who is helping us realize our dreams of growth. And there have been many in between whether pastor or lay person that God has used to build his church into what we have today. We have been blessed with dedicated teachers and workers, men and women who made church a priority and brought a unique view point to life’s situations. It is legacies like these who inspire us to continue doing God’s work.

Continuing On >>> We, who are here at Screven Church of God today, desire to see a move of God. We pray for direction and anointing as we cultivate and use the gifts God has given us to do His work. We covet your prayers as we continue on in the work set before us. Join us, prayerfully, in this journey to finish what our forerunners started – to win souls and nourish the saints as we travel Home.
